California Dreamin'

This is too cool! Melissa and I are seriously considering purchasing on of these sassy little numbers!...we've already signed up for spin classes and will be arriving soon on your doorstep on our pedal express with a special delivery just for you! This happy dude is on delivery for a super cool flower and events shop based in Berkeley, California called Gorgeous and Green. I stumbled across this little gem last night as I was looking for some summer inspiration. **Warning - many drool worthy photos....have some brawny paper towels handy!**

Vintage Vibe

I'm so pleased to share pictures with you from a wedding we did last September. It was a relaxed wedding at Smith and Wilson Estate Winery with a shabby chic vintage feel - gorgeous! Thank-you Lisa and Rob for allowing us to be a part of your beautiful day.

My little brother is now a married man!....(well, okay, my dad insists that you're not a man until you're 40...so he's a married guy at least!) It was an absolutely beautiful day and a fantastic party! I can't wait to share some of the photos with you from Julie Rhodes Photography! This is just one candid shot my sister took of my brother and my dad before the ceremony. He doesn't look nervous at all, does he? ;) Much love always from your big sister.

Sunshine and Lollipops

If April showers bring May flowers, WTF (what the fiddlesticks!) do May showers bring?! We are rising above the weather here at Mocha Violet and remaining optimistic!

Thank-you again to the lovely people at the Ridgetown Horticultural Society for having me last night! My hands weren't shaking nearly as much this time as the last time I did a demonstration! I'm proud to be a member of a group that is doing so much good for our community. Last spring when I became involved in some small clean-up projects around town, I was surprised at the sense of pride and feeling of ownership I had after taking part. I've had a little hiatus now from contributing, but certainly plan to more now that I am more settled into this new gig!

Pictured above is the Strawberry Chocolate Mint Wreath I made at the meeting last night. I'm excited to be hosting my first workshop tonight to make this wreath with a great group of gals. I think we're going to have a lot of fun! Happy Easter and enjoy your long weekend everyone!
